About

San Francisco CA based Producer Songwriter James Wavey aka Michael Bridgmon is known for rhythmic poeticisms and presents them in a rocking soulful style. His music can be viewed as multi genre creating tunes reminiscent of hip hop, garage soul, doo wop and rock n roll.

James has heralded favorable press and plays from National Public Radio, Creative Loafing and more. Performing live solo or with a group of musicians he opens the space with an uplifting presence that creates an artistic musical experience. His charisma developed as an emcee and carries through in his singing & song writing. He has been a supporting artist and music groups as “Trish Toledo, Thee Sinners, Shannon Clams and recently Zambian band of the 1970s W.I.T.C.H. (we intend to cause havoc).” James has been an opening Dj for Jimmy Fallon’s House The Roots, Big Crown Recording Artist Lee Fields and other major local concert events.

Wavey is always searching for new sounds to make. With 7 albums released 5 of them on Vinyl LP (Econo Jam Records, Dandy Boy Records). His main incentive is to make timeless music for the people. Be on the lookout for more projects by him.
